The 18-8 stainless steel acorn nut meets Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) 1587 standards. The acorn nut, also called a cap nut, has a domed top that covers exposed threads on rods, studs, and bolts. The 18-8 stainless steel material provides strength and offers good corrosion resistance in many environments.
