The Little Giant 3-MD-SC semi-corrosive chemical pump is designed to handle semi-corrosive chemicals and features leakproof, seal-less magnetic drives, and is designed for in-line, non-submersible use. Volute, magnet housing, and impeller are made of glass-filled polypropylene for excellent chemical resistance. Ceramic shaft and thrust washers are 99.5 percent pure alumina for excellent wear resistance and trouble-free service. The washers do not revolve to prevent wear on the shaft. The pump shaft is held captive at both ends and assures perfect alignment of the shaft and impeller and precisely balanced magnets preventing potential damage during start-ups and stops.The Little Giant 230 Volt, 1/12 HP 3-MD-SC Chemical Pump is suitable for the movement of moderately corrosive solvents, acids, alkalis, and other chemicals and solutions that are compatible with the material that was used to make the pump. The pump has an intake size of 3/4" FNPT and a discharge size of 1/2" MNPT. This pump can pump up to 750 GPH at 1' head. This pump can handle fluids with a specific gravity of up to 1. 1 and with temperatures of up to 150 °F. It includes a 6' power cord. This unit does not come with a plug and must be installed by someone with electric installation experience.Note: this pump is not self-priming! Install pump below the level of the liquid.
